IP54 protected motor
Maxon Motor has introduced the largest in its RE precision series, the
250W RE75, an IP54 protected motor suitable for driving applications in
machine tools and production machinery. While it is mechanically
commutated, the motor has a long life expectancy thanks to four-pole
operation and lower winding inductance. However, a version is available
with electronic brush monitoring for those who want complete peace of
mind! Among its quoted features are 91.3% efficiency (maximum), zero
cogging and high overload capacity.
The new motor has around eleven different winding configurations for
greater applications flexibility, and can be supplied with a planetary
gearhead offering six ratios. Maximum torque is 180Nm. Other accessories
include brakes (offering 1.25Nm braking torque), and encoders.
