Analogue dc servo-amplifiers
Maxon Motor has introduced a series of analogue dc servo-amplifiers for
the control of permanent magnet dc motors. The pulse width modulated ADS
servo-amplifier is available in two versions: 'Standard', for motors in
the range 10-250W, and 'Power', for motors in the range 80-500W. The
compact unit can be installed either in standard Eurocard format for 19in
subrack and plug-in card systems, or, by taking advantage of the modular
styling, in a robust metal housing with different housing options. Both
versions offer efficiencies up to 95%. The units are simply switched to
the desired mode of operation: dc tacho control, digital encoder control,
current control and IxR compensation.
