A pioneer of subscription-based software distribution, think3 has
launched version 7.0 of its flagship 'mass-3D' design software,
thinkdesign. The new version builds on the 'global shape modelling' (GSM)
technology introduced in version 6.0 (see DPA March 2001 page 67 or visit
the DPA web site archive), and delivers a number of enhancements. These
include a GSM-derived capping command that enables designers to create
complex capping surfaces very quickly, and the addition of G3 and G4
continuities, which allow complex shapes to be more easily modified
within important design constraints.
