JVL’s new-generation MAC series integrated servo motors

Available with full application support from Mclennan in the UK, JVL’s new generation MAC series integrated servo motors are available in seven model options for DC or direct-on-line AC operation in 60mm2 and 80mm2 frame sizes.

The series covers continuous power ratings from 400W to 1,500W (with 3x peak power), and speeds to 3,000rpm.

A built-in industrial Ethernet interface provides seamless PLC integration in combination with comprehensive self-diagnostic capabilities and safety functions.

Offering significant performance and efficiency improvements over earlier models, a faster processor and redesigned hardware deliver precise and rapid control that is perfectly suited to high-throughput motion control tasks in industrial automation.

The impressive MAC servo specification includes 100 percent duty cycle, 24/7 operation, unlimited production downtime, and 10-year operation.

The new-generation MAC servo motor series integrates motor, encoder, drive and control electronics in a single compact housing, eliminating the need for a separate control cabinet and reducing machine wiring complexity and cost.

The robust construction provides IP54 or optionally IP66 protection. The Ethernet interface supports major industrial Ethernet protocols, including Profinet, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, SERCOS, ModbusTCP/UDP, and Powerlink.

A CANopen protocol with DS 301 and DSP402 support is also available.

The embedded PLC (ePLC) can be applied to standalone operation and may be used in combination with a complement of eight configurable I/O points as digital inputs or outputs – or analogue inputs. I/O can also be assigned for use as local/remote control for a centralised PLC.

The new JVL servo motors integrate easily with machines, allowing configuration from a PLC via Siemens or Rockwell Automation function blocks, or programming with JVL´s MacTalk software.

The new MAC series offers power ratings of 400, 750, 1,000 and 1,500W for 115 or 230 VAC operation and 750, 1,200 and 1,500W for 24 to 48 VDC.

With comprehensive flexibility for automation applications, numerous options include integrated brakes, gear units, IP67 protection, STO connector with SoE, wireless communication interface, IO-Link, and cable accessories.

Mclennan delivers comprehensive application support for JVL, encompassing product selection, motor sizing, and system integration across the entire portfolio of this Danish motion control specialist.

As a distributor for motion control manufacturers, Mclennan also offers customised stepper and servo motor automation solutions, ranging from individual components to fully integrated systems.
