Founded in 2008 and based in Berlin, ICS-NH has built a reputation as a trusted partner in high-reliability sensing, serving sectors, including aerospace, medical, motorsport and industrial markets.

The company’s EN 9100 (AS9100D equivalent) certification demonstrates its rigorous quality management and suitability for critical aerospace missions.

Built for space: precision meets longevity
ICS-NH’s thin-film pressure sensors are engineered from 17-4 PH stainless steel, 316L, A286 or Hastelloy C22, with insulating and functional layers sputtered directly onto the metal diaphragm.

This approach eliminates creeping effects and ensures long-term stability, radiation resistance and temperature endurance, operating from –200 °C to +260°C , making it ideal for cryogenic space environments.

Each sensor assembly is welded directly to the pressure port, guaranteeing hermetic sealing without additional materials and is laser-trimmed for highly balanced Wheatstone bridge outputs.

These properties make ICS-NH devices suited to long-duration space missions, fuel line pressure monitoring and high-accuracy differential measurements in orbital systems.

Technical superiority and proven heritage

ICS-NH’s designs deliver:

• Temperature tolerance: –200 °C to +260 °C for cryogenic and propulsion systems
• Pressure capability: 1.5bar to 2,500bar (20psi-36,000psi)
• Electrical isolation: 500-750 V AC
• Lifetime performance: Aerospace systems exceeding 30 years’ operational lifespan

Customisation is core to ICS-NH’s philosophy, with 90 percent of sensors tailor-made to meet specific customer requirements, whether digital I²C output for satellite applications or analogue differential designs for aircraft and propulsion subsystems.

Norbert Heinrich, CEO and Founder of ICS-NH, commented: “Partnering with Rhopoint Components enables us to extend our proven aerospace-grade pressure sensing technology to a wider audience in the UK.

“Our thin-film sensors are designed for the most extreme environments on and beyond Earth - providing the long-term reliability and precision space programs demand.”

Daniel Theis, Technical Manager at Rhopoint Components, added: “ICS-NH’s technology perfectly complements Rhopoint’s commitment to supplying world-class sensing and test instrumentation.

“Their heritage in aerospace and custom-engineered pressure sensor design will help our customers achieve new benchmarks in accuracy and reliability for space and high-end industrial systems.”
