UK cheese facility employs game-changing automation

Endoline Robotics has transformed operations at a major UK cheese processing facility with the installation of a £1.27 million high-speed, fully automated case packing and palletising system. Faced with the challenge of maintaining high output in a cold, labour-intensive environment, the cheese processor partnered with Endoline to renovate its end-of-line operations. Working within the site’s existing 21m x 11.5m footprint, Endoline designed and installed a fully automated solution that modernised the facility’s end-of-line operations without the need for expansion.

By phasing the installation over two stages, the project was completed with zero disruption to day-to-day production, ensuring a smooth transition from manual to automated case loading, without interrupting production.

The installation didn’t just replace the repetitive manual tasks once performed by over nine operators, it also delivered a major increase in performance and productivity.
