E-T-A Circuit Breakers has introduced a rocker-actuated single/double pole combined circuit breaker and ON/OFF switch with optional water splash protection. Attractively styled for front panel mounting, the Type 1120 Thermal Circuit Breaker for single phase applications features a thermal trip-free mechanism offering reliable overcurrent protection and safe physical isolation of the load. The rocker actuator can be specified either as a latching switch for ON/OFF operation, when the position of the actuator indicates the status of the switching contacts, or it can be specified as a momentary switch.
The Type 1120 is available in a range of current ratings, from 3A up to 16A, for 240V AC or 32V DC (50V DC for double pole). It meets the requirements of the CBE standard EN 60934: S-type, category TO, and the fire resistance requirements of EN 60335-1:2007-02 ‘Safety of household and similar electrical appliances’.
Water splash protection is optional to raise the standard protection from IP40 to IP66; an illuminated rocker is also optional. For large volume orders, customised designs can be offered for the front bezel and rocker.
