Motors are used in applications from pumps, fans and domestic appliances to CNC machines and robotics. With a
wide range of motor technology available on the market, it can be challenging to find the best option
for your application. 

Motor selection must be based on multiple criteria. In addition to the mechatronics – inertia, torque,
repeatability, precision – there are environmental considerations, such as space constraints, overall footprint, and energy source. Other influencing
factors include software and external controls, unit price, and total cost of ownership.
