The Green Range Splicing Connector with levers is the same as the Orange Range product, made with a higher volume of reused and recycled materials.

The new Orange Range 221-420 terminal block has the same technical properties as the standard 221 4mm² 2, 3, and 5 products, but with an unprecedented 10 conductors, making it ideal for use in small areas with multiple connections such as control cabinets and lighting circuits.

Green Range 221 series Inline &
6mm

WAGO has extended the 221 series Green range with the introduction of 4mm Inline & 6mm side entry versions. This offers an extended range of eco-friendly connectors for those looking to minimize the impact on the environment.

The levers are derived at least 26 percent from reused PET bottles, while the housing is made from up to 77 percent bio circular waste, such as waste fats, and waste from cooking oil production.

The copper and spring steel
are identical to those used in the classic range, with a significant portion of the metals coming from recycled scrap.

All these features make the connector a more sustainable product – that still provides all with the same quality and certifications as the familiar 221 Series Splicing Connector.

David Draper, Product Manager, said: “Our aim is to reduce our consumption of fossil resources using plastics from secondary sources.

“The WAGO Green Range Splicing Connector with levers has the same
advantages and features as its sister with orange levers.

“However, it consists partly of bio-circular plastics or post-consumer recycled material, with a certification of origin, helping us to conserve fossil resources and keep existing plastics in circulation.”

Orange range 10 conductor
The 221-420 terminal block features an impressive 10-conductor configuration, making it especially well-suited for compact spaces with dense wiring needs, such as control cabinets and lighting systems.

By maintaining the full number of connections, it reduces or
even removes the need for jumpers, and allows for quick, tool-free, maintenance-free installation.  It accommodates solid wires ranging from 0.14 to 4 mm² and stranded wires from 0.2 to 4 mm².

David Draper, Product Manager, said: “The 221-420 terminal block provides more connectors in less space, making it a better, simple, safe and fast way to connect, with no more jumpering. It is an ideal solution for installations where board space is at a premium.”

In the coming months, WAGO plans to launch a Green Range version of the 221-420.
