The latest version of Leuze Mayser's Safe AS-i Bus system allows both
safety and non-safety devices to operate on the same network, reducing
cabling costs and installation time. The system PLC is equipped with an
AS-i master card that provides a direct interface with the network, and a
safety monitor module that resides on the network. once a device has been
triggered, its signal is recognised by the module, which sets the whole
operation into a safe mode.
