Powerful gaming board

Display Solutions has introduced an all-new platform to the UK gaming market. Small, powerful, secure and stable, the innovative ACP-GM45 has been developed specifically for the rigorous demands of gaming and delivers high-quality graphics, including 3D, without the need for an independent graphics chip.

A dual view capability, integrated amplifier and sound, together with security features that comply to industry protocol makes the Avalue-developed board a genuine advance in choice for gaming systems of all types.

"The gaming sector is bucking the global trend for slowdown and showing good sector growth," comments Display Solutions managing director, Cheng Yoe. "Large purchases such as houses or cars might be put on hold but entertainment, particularly gaming in all its forms, is doing well. Consumers are becoming increasingly more sophisticated and demanding about what they expect from their gaming experience and machines have to be fast, deliver terrific quality and, above all be secure, both to process payment and store scores and records."

As UK partners of board-developers Avalue, Display Solutions is able to use its unique position to offer exceptionally short delivery times and complete flexibility in configuration. "When we partnered with Avalue, one of the attractions was its ability to offer a minimum of five years availability on boards, which gives our customers a stable platform to design from and ensures a much lower lifetime cost," continued Yoe.

The ACP-GM45 supports 45nm Intel, dual-core processors, a front-side bus up to 1066MHz and two sets of 4GB DDR2/DDR3 memory controllers to give optimum processing speed. Featuring a security chipset that protects against attacks and stolen or false data, an onboard iButton interface enables users to use Internet connections to identify players on login. Compatible with both CCTalk and JAMMA industry requirements, the board can be supplied as standard or configured for individual purpose.
