A distributed drive solution for conveying
Modern conveying technology places many demands on the drive, not least
being the need for a flexible, distributed system. Lenze reckons it has
the solution in a new combination comprising its proven 8200 Motec
inverter and a new product, the Starttec motor starter, which reduces the
high starting current of motors in the 0.25 to 4kW range. Motec and
Starttec systems are housed in IP65 protected enclosures, so they can be
located close to the motors that they control. This distribution is aided
by fieldbus connectivity, incorporated into both components to reduce the
cabling requirement.
