Multi-stage blowers are 'whisper'-quiet
Air Control Industries has introduced a dc brushless motor option for its
established range of backward curved bladed multi-stage blowers. Two
blowers from the MS8 range are now available with 24V dc brushless
motors, delivering 25cfm at 10.6in SWG (2MS8) and 35cfm at 15in SWG
(3MS8). Both are claimed to be whisper-quiet in operation, making them
suitable for more noise-sensitive applications. The normal ac versions
are still available, while the dc models have built-in rectification so
they can be powered from an ac source if required.
