The ETP-Hycon range of hydraulic shaft-to-shaft and hub-to-shaft
couplings from Lenze is intended for large shaft diameters between 80 and
400mm, where they are capable of transmitting very high torque levels
(58,000Nm on a 100mm diameter shaft). The product comprises two hardened
steel sleeves with matching tapers and lubrication grooves. mounting
involves pumping oil into a fully sealed chamber, which drives the outer
sleeve up the taper of the inner sleeve.
