Polyurethane coupling tolerates gross angular misalignment
Lenze has extended its range of flexible couplings with the addition of
the novel Ruland K-Coupling, developed in the USA by Acushnet.
K-Couplings comprise two zinc plated steel hubs and a cross-shaped
polyurethane torque element, combining flexibility with chemical
resistance, which is swaged precisely to the hubs. They are capable of
accommodating up to 15° of angular misalignment, have a torque range of
0.35-4.5Nm and are suitable for shaft diameters from 3-16mm.
