The majority are moulded in general purpose ABS, the IP68-sealed 1551W options are moulded in polycarbonate.

The general-purpose 1551 family 
• 18 sizes from 35mm x 35mm x 15mm to 100mm x 40mm x 20mm
• All sizes available with a plain or flanged lid

The specialist IP68 1551W family
The 1551W IP68 sealed versions are moulded in polycarbonate for use inside or out. All are available with a plain or flanged lid and are available in black and grey with a soft texture finish. All are fitted with PCB stand-offs in the base and the shaped silicone sealing gasket provides IP68-rated protection against the ingress of dust or water, protecting the housed electronics. 

• Five sizes from 60mm x 35mm x 22mm to 100mm x 50mm x 24mm
• All sizes available with a plain or flanged lid
• Sealed to IP68 by preformed silicone gasket
• Moulded from robust UL94 V-0 polycarbonate
• Suitable for outdoor or indoor use

• Self-tapping screws secure the lid to the base

The specialist rectangular and round vented 1551V
The 1551V ventilated units are designed to house sensors and small sub-systems installed in the manufacturing environment. One of their key features is the snap-fit closure that allows repeated opening and closing without tools and maximises the internal space for PCBs by eliminating screw fixings to secure the cover to the base. They feature ventilation slots on all four vertical faces of the cover and wall-mounting slots, and a 15mm cable knock-out in the base. 

The rectangular and round versions are also available with solid covers in all sizes.

The specialist 1551USB and 1551MINI 
The 1551USB comes in three sizes with a moulded-in aperture to accept a USB 'A' connector for plugging into a USB port. The 1551MINI follows the same sizes and colour options, but is without the USB aperture.

• Three sizes from 35mm x 20mm to 65mm x 30mm
• All available in black, grey, translucent clear, translucent smoke and translucent red
• Label recess in the top cover
