'Quick-fit' ac or dc current monitoring relays save time
LEM has introduced a range of current monitoring relays in a novel format
that combines current sensor and relay in a single split-core package.
With fewer connections to worry about, LEM claims the new product offers
more reliability and slashes installation time by as much as 50%. The ac
(AKS Series) and dc (DKS Series) have a current range from 1 to 200A, and
both can be powered internally or externally. The output can be normally
open or normally closed, with a solid state or dry contact relay
compatible with ac or dc secondary circuits. The devices simply clamp
into position; there is no need to cut conductors, making them ideal for
retrofit applications.
