When Ricciarelli SpA was asked to increase production dramatically while also delivering zero-defect packaging, it enlisted the help of OMRON
to help build a machine vision solution that ticked all the boxes.

A challenging brief
Ricciarelli’s task was to increase
production and eliminate the risk of imperfect packaging making its way onto supermarket shelves, thereby damaging the pasta brand's reputation.

Frosini, Area Sales Manager at Ricciarelli, said: "It was a big challenge. The customer asked us not only to double
production capacity compared with previous solutions, but also to maintain the same level of quality and safety.”
