SEE IT AT DES 2005 While demand for stock springs remains steady, there is now much interest in custom springs. To satisfy this curiosity there is an increased focus on custom spring options in Lee Springs' latest and biggest ever, stock spring catalogue, which will be available on stand 730 at next month's DES 2005 show (NEC, October 4-6). The 132-page publication gives information on 10,600 products - compression, die, extension, torsion and disc springs plus spring selection kits. In meeting the trend towards customisation, the company has simplified the 'request of specials' process by adding a suite of dedicated specification forms to the new catalogue, covering variations to its stock range and custom spring options. Lee Spring encourages its customers to call and discuss options but at some stage a drawing with supporting technical, operational and dimensional information is generally required. This can now be achieved by using the forms or online at Lee Springs' web site (go to DPA site for a link).
