A two-way solenoid valve weighing less than 6g and measuring 33m long by 6.4mm diameter is now available from Lee Products. The EPSV valve offers low out-gassing and low power consumption (in the region of 0.75mW), A 'spike and hold' feature enables actuation at the rated voltage, the valve then being held open at a lower voltage, saving power and reducing heat build-up. Pressure range is 0-25bar at ambient conditions, and 0-2bar at 150°C.
