LOCTITE fuels innovation in Formula Student project

For the 27th edition of the Formula Student project, the University of Hertfordshire team benefitted from the learning resources and product provided by LOCTITE.

The annual international engineering competition, which takes place each July at Silverstone, challenges students to design and build a single-seat formula car. Henkel has been a steadfast sponsor of the University of Hertfordshire since 1998, providing invaluable products and regular technical talks to the team.

Each academic year, a team of around 20 students embark on the project, dedicating countless hours to designing and building their car.

The use of LOCTITE structural adhesives and threadlockers, particularly the LOCTITE 600 and 700 series, has been crucial throughout this year’s project. These products are commonly used in workshops for bonding and securing panels, offering reliability that is essential for the students' success.
