Advancements in rapid prototyping
Key developments in rapid prototyping are, to some extent, a reflection of what is being seen across the manufacturing sector as a whole. Generative AI design, growing demand for sustainable materials, IoT-driven monitoring and simulation, and AR/VR-assisted design are all influencing manufacturing and are bringing specific advancements to the rapid prototyping process.

For example, generative design algorithms are creating designs that, due to their complexity, would be difficult to achieve manually.

Meanwhile, the integration of IoT devices is enabling real-time data analysis and process adjustments. Technological advancements are opening the door to increased collaboration between designers and engineers, and ushering in a brave new world of rapid prototyping and simulation.
