Magnetic gears: The wide variety of benefits to industry

There is a clear connection between sustainability and efficiency. The more efficient a system is, the less power it requires and the smaller its impact on the environment.
Even with battery-operated systems, improved efficiency means less charging and smaller, lighter batteries, reducing not just the amount of energy required, but also the need for materials like lithium
whose extraction can cause significant environmental damage.

One of the major benefits of magnetic gear technology is that it is far more energy efficient than a conventional geared system. Engineered
to mimic the characteristics of a direct drive, magnetic drives deliver high torque at low speeds and feature high-precision gear systems that reduce backlash and increase efficiency. This enables
them to exceed the torque generation limits of standard direct-drive electric motors and results in the smallest and lightest high-torque motors currently available.
