The high radiation Option TM337 is applied to otherwise standard transducers using a process that involves the careful choice of materials and design of transducer to improve the radiation survival to 100MRads. As modifications to the transducers are predominately internal, this avoids any penalty on size and allows the transducer dimensions to remain the same as the standard product, although cable changes are usually required.
User testing in a variety of high radiation environments has confirmed the ability of RDP Option TM337 transducers subjected to considerable doses to survive and perform reliably and accurately.
