HBM's T40 torque flange capacity increases to 3kNm

HBM has improved the operational range of its T40 torque flange with two new nominal (rated) torques of 500Nm and 3kNm, ensuring that most test bench torque measurement applications are easily covered when combined with the two existing flanges of nominal (rated) torques of 1kNm and 2kNm. The torque flange is designed with a short overall length to allow simplified integration into a test bench. In addition, the flanges are relatively insensitive to parasitic loads allowing machine elements to be directly mounted without needing additional universal-joint shafts or couplings.

The T40 is wear free as it has no slip rings or bearings, making it extremely reliable. The use of digital data transfer between the rotor and stator ensures reliable, error-free data acquisition and transmission even under difficult ambient conditions - for example, in the presence of electromagnetic interference or when subjected to temperature variation.
