Direct Drive Rotary Positioning Stages

The new ADRS range of from Aerotech features slot-less stators with no iron laminations for cog-free operation. The motor is directly coupled to the tabletop, the preloaded bearing system and rotary encoder, ensuring minimal velocity instability. Three models are available with nominal widths of 100, 150 and 200mm, and tabletop diameters of 95, 140 and 190mm respectively. Typical maximum speed for the largest stage is 400rpm with up to 7.5Nm continuous torque and support for a 400N axial load. The smaller unit is rated at 1,500rpm and 0.4Nm continuous torque and a 70N axial load. Axial and radial run-out errors are within the range 2-5 micron.
