Metool Products has introduced a new range of 4- to 400-way slip ring
collector columns, which are IP65 protected and WIMES 2.01 compliant. The
units feature captive stainless steel fixings and ruggedly constructed
aluminium or steel bases and enclosures, powder coated with standard
colour finishes. The standard slip rings and brush gear are continuously
rated to 30A, but they can also be supplied with continuous ratings from
10 to 200A. Other options include a choice of slip ring terminations, top
or bottom cable entry and silver- or gold-plated slip rings for
electronic circuits. In addition, special paint finishes or stainless
steel is offered for particularly arduous duties. And where the
application involves dual electrical and pneumatic or hydraulic
connections, the customer can specify a combination of slip rings and
air-fluid joints.
