KUKA LBR Med robot supports revolutionary cancer treatment

Sensus Healthcare specialises in the development of highly effective, minimally- and non-invasive treatments for oncological and non-oncological diseases. With the medical device Sculptura, a system for directed anisotropic – i.e. non-uniform – radiation therapy (ART), the company is on its way to revolutionise cancer therapy.

This is enabled, to a significant extent, by the integrated LBR Med from KUKA, a robot for
medical devices.

Sculptura is remarkable and unique in many ways. It enables targeted treatment of cancer patients intraoperatively.
“For this purpose, it is the first system that enables the physician to shape the rays into
specific geometries and a three-dimensional alignment, and to irradiate a tumour or areas of tumours, effectively and intensively.


"This spares surrounding organs and tissue,” explains Kal Fishman, Co-Founder of Sensus Healthcare.
