Submersible pressure transmitter for hydrostatic level measurement

ifm elctronic has launched the PS3 series, a new range of submersible pressure transmitters. It is designed for applications such as level measurement in tanks and vessels, wells and boreholes, and wastewater treatment plants.

The analogue output signal of 4 - 20 mA and the use of the two-wire technology means the PS3’s can be easily integrated into control systems. Reliability in the application is ensured with the housing and the sensor diaphragm made of stainless steel and an overall IP68 protection rating.

With available pressure ranges of 0-0.25, 0-0.6 or 0-1 bar levels equivalent of up to 10 meters of water column can be measured. An internally vented cable is provided for pressure compensation to atmosphere.

The transmitters are supplied with fixed cable lengths of 3m, 10m or 12m, and optional accessories allow suitable fitting to the measuring location.
