Display solutions and embedded systems provider, Review Display Systems (RDS), has announced the availability of a new compact GENE 3.5-inch single-board computer (SBC) from leading embedded computing solutions manufacturer AAEON.
The GENE-EHL5 supports Intel Atom, Pentium, and Celeron series processors, which enable enhanced performance, flexibility and a host of integrated technologies designed for embedded computing systems.
Ideal for low-power embedded applications, the latest generation of Intel Atom x6000E, Pentium, and Celeron N and J series processors deliver greater computing performance over previous generations along with key technologies such as in-band ECC to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
The GENE-EHL5 also takes advantage of the support for faster memory speeds and higher capacities by providing up to 32GB of DDR4x 3,200MHz memory onboard.
A strong complement of I/O features includes two USB3.2 and four USB2.0 ports, 16-bit GPIO, dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, along with HDMI 2.0 ports and Displays ports supporting 4K graphics at 60Hz, in addition, to onboard support for dual-channel LVDS, allowing up to three simultaneous displays.
Peter Marchant, Embedded Division Manager, RDS said, “Review Display Systems can support and supply engineers and designers with an extensive range of embedded products and solutions.
“The compact, low-power AAEON GENE-EHL5 enables a versatile, highly integrated computing platform that is ideal for smart vehicles and automation systems.”
A host of onboard features enable flexibility to meet the needs of individual applications. Expansion slots include both M.2 2230, which enables Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, CANBUS and 5G functionality to be added, and a full-sized Mini-Card for expanded storage.
The compact form factor of the GENE-EHL5 SBC features mechanical outline dimensions of just 146mm x 101.7mm and supports an operating temperature range of 0°C to 60°.
The AAEON GENE-EHL5 single-board computer is now available from Review Display Systems.
