Aerotech S Nano Translation

Aerotech's nano translation Aerotech's nano translation (ANT) stages, which are aimed principally at the fibre optics manufacturing sector, offer a closed loop resolution of 100 Angstrom, with resolutions of 2.5nm (linear) and 0.045 arc seconds (rotary). Even at these resolutions, ANT stages are capable of travelling at speeds in excess of 250mm/s. Thanks to the use of linear motors, the positioning stage is non-contacting, keeping maintenance requirements to a minimum. Other benefits include no cogging, hysteresis or backlash, and no loss of accuracy over time.
