As products move down the conveyor, emergency stop (E-Stop) buttons are linked 8ft to 10ft apart to ensure all areas of the conveyor are covered in case of an emergency.

In an emergency, operators press the red button of the E-Stop to immediately shut down the machine. It can be time-consuming to determine exactly what E-Stop button is pressed, and typically an emergency stop condition
requires a reset of all the E-Stop buttons.

Solution
Banner’s 30mm mount E-Stop buttons work well in this type of application because they have an illuminated base that turns from yellow to flashing red when
actuated. The red flashing illumination of the E-Stop button visibly alerts operators which button was pressed so they can quickly and easily fix the problem to reduce downtime and only reset the button that was activated.

Along with a visible indication of an E-Stop button, the illuminated E-Stops are available in an all-in-one enclosure with no assembly, individual wiring or additional enclosures required. With a 30mm threaded mount, a simple installation
reduces intensive labour costs.

The 30mm mount illuminated E-Stop button has a unique 360-degree round housing, with a red button and yellow background, meeting worldwide safety standards. Models are also available in a non-lit, solid black base for additional safety applications.
