Following the success of the Engineering Chat podcast series at last year’s show, Chatty Hatter has been invited to be a media partner at the Engineering Design Show (Coventry Building Society Arena on 12-13 October 2022).
For this, the 10th anniversary of the UK’s largest event dedicated to engineering, electronics and embedded design, Chatty Hatter is staging an EDS takeover in partnership with show organiser, Mark Allen, and a series of podcasts, sponsored by Wurth Electronics UK.
In the latest That Engineering Chat, Chatty Hatter’s Founder and Director, Nicole Piesse Turner, chats to Simon Bonnell, Exhibition Sales Director at Mark Allen Exhibitions, about how the show has grown and evolved.
Commenting on the return of overseas visitors this year, Simon Bonnell tells Nicole: “If you thought EDS last year was good last year . . . this year we have 200 solution providers and over 30 hours of speaking sessions, conferences and workshops – it is going to be a bigger show … back to its heyday this year,” he promises.
Hosting That Engineering Chat brings opportunities for companies to reflect on some of the changes in the industry and use the medium of the podcast to tell everyone their news and stories, and reach out to the industry.
“People want to talk to people about solutions, see technology and innovation and being at EDS innovation is the ideal platform. And the podcast team will be there to sit down and speak to all these talented people under one roof,” says Nicole.
“Talking to exhibitors, speakers and influential people in the industry last year was phenomenal, people really enjoyed it. We were so excited to be asked this year to get involved,” she adds.
