Omega has introduced the new WTM-1000 mini bench top wind tunnel. It has been designed to give cost-effective air flow calibration for hot-wire or vane-type anemometers anywhere that an on-site calibration is required, such as in educational establishments, calibration houses and the military.
The WTM-1000 has a highly uniform flow rate at four selectable fixed air speeds, yet costs less than many competitive brands. The fixed air speed ranges from 2.5 m/s to 15 m/s and has an accuracy of 1% of setting. The user can control and vary the wind tunnel air speed externally by connecting a potentiometer.
The internal 10cm diameter test chamber is large enough to accommodate either hot-wire or vane-type anemometers and is powered by 90 to 250 Vac. Each WTM-1000 comes with a traceable calibration certificate for the four fixed air speeds.
