Tailor-made for the packaging industry
InMoCo has introduced Elau PacDrive, a motion control system targeted at
packaging machine builders. The PC-based control system includes IEC61131
compliant PLC and motion control functions, a Profibus DP master
connection for PLC communication and a digital Sercos drive bus for
controlling decentralised servo drives. Windows based HMIs can be
connected to the system via RS485 and Ethernet interfaces.
According to InMoCo, PacDrive can reduce development times by up to 50%,
machine costs by 30% and increase productivity by 25%, compared with more
conventional automation architectures. The totally digital, open platform
also enables more precise motion functions to be achieved, with greater
dynamics and more flexibility, says the company.
