Servomotor Shapes Up For Capping And Labelling

Now available in the UK from InMoCo, the Elau PacDrive SCL-055 integrated servomotor/drive system is purpose-built for liquid packaging applications. The novel trapezoid-shaped enclosure, housing both motor and drive electronics, takes up less space and offers an extremely useful one-cable installation, allowing its direct integration into the rotary tables used in capping and labelling operations. The housing is IP67 rated and surface-treated to resist chemical attack. The motor is a high precision unit with integral SinCos encoder providing one million increments per revolution. Its rms holding torque is 1.0Nm (peak torque: 4.4Nm) and the rated speed is 3,000rpm. The motor bearings are specially reinforced to cope with the abnormal radial loads imposed when used in belt-drive configuration. Back to January 2004 Menu
