DTS+ track systems: Speed and accuracy for higher loads

Modern process lines are a fundamental part of manufacturing, relied on worldwide for thousands of different types of assembly, process and packaging requirements. While the industries and applications vary considerably, one thing remains constant: all modern process lines require a track system to guide and transfer components between workstations in a continuous loop.

The DTS Driven Track System does exactly that. It is a belt-driven track system made by HepcoMotion, and is supplied as a ready-assembled unit, providing a facility to drive carriages around a bespoke track circuit in either continuous or intermittent motion. Offering repeatable accuracy, high productivity and low maintenance, DTS is ideally suited to form the foundation of a modern process line.

A standard DTS typically has a load capacity of up to 40kg, offering speeds of up to 1m/s. For many applications, this is more than sufficient, but what happens when the application requires both higher loads and higher speeds simultaneously?
