The latest addition to Norgren's VM (Valve Manifold) series valve islands
is the VM15, a 15mm unit that boasts an impressive flow rate of
1,000litre/min. Installation times have been reduced, thanks to the use
of integrated push-in fittings. And should the machine specifications
change, the configuration can be altered quickly to incorporate
interchangeable valve types. The system's modularity also permits the
addition of extra valves when additional pneumatic functions are required.
There's a choice of DIN rail, through-hole and sub-base mounting options,
and valve islands can be configured from four to 16 stations with single
or double solenoids. Some 15 million combinations are possible, based on
selection of manual overrides and tube fitting sizes. To help make a
selection for a particular application, Norgren offers a configuration
tool that can be downloaded from the company's web site to provide a part
number, price and dimensions. Users can also download 2D and 3D CAD
drawings of VM products in any of 13 file formats.
