Calling all machine builders! The implications of Brexit explained

In last month’s column, DPA’s Assistant Editor, Sophia Bell, spoke about how manufacturers have had to change their business practices as a result of Brexit. I know you’re all probably a little tired of Brexit talk, but an interesting white paper crossed my desk earlier and I wanted to share it with you. (Feel free to stop reading here, I promise I won’t be offended…)

This new white paper, from Hold Tech Files Ltd, is called ‘The implications of Brexit for machine builders in the UK, the EU and the rest of the world’. This is essential reading for machine builders, system integrators and suppliers of safety components, as well as manufacturing companies that create assemblies of machines requiring CE marking or UKCA marking, as a whole.

Now the UK has left the EU and the two parties have agreed upon a new trading relationship, there is finally some clarity for machine builders. The new white paper looks at the full range of scenarios, including UK machine builders serving the home market, and machine builders exporting to the UK from the EU or anywhere else in the world...
