Modified Linear Guide Geometry Reduces Friction

The DryLin W family of linear guides from igus now benefits from a new carriage design that runs on anodised aluminium double rails or a single flexible rail. The DryLin WQ better compensates for differences of height in the mounting faces, and its square shape ensures that loads are evenly distributed. Thanks to the flat supporting surface, the friction value of the guide is reduced by 15% compared with the existing DryLin W product. Additionally, the friction (-20%) and wear (-34%) values have been optimised by the use of igus' new plain plastic bearing material, Iglidur J200., which, like other Iglidur materials, does not require lubrication.
