The proven cable carriers are being constantly developed and continue to move into new areas of application.

The TKSR is a highly compact model from KABELSCHLEPP Metool, designed for use in aerial lifts. Elsewhere, steel cable carriers continue to prove their worth in the traditional applications of heavy machinery manufacturing, steelworks, mining and deep drilling. Depending on the design, steel carriers can withstand temperature loads or application-dependent maximum values of up to 400°C for short periods; stainless steel versions can even withstand temperatures of up to 1,000°C for short periods. They are also resistant to chemicals and
radiation and deliver impressive performance on handling robots and manipulators in chemical plants. Stainless steel cable carriers, available from KABELSCHLEPP Metool at three different quality levels, can be used in the environment of acid baths in electroplating plants, in power plant applications and other applications under radioactive radiation. KABELSCHLEPP Metool steel cable carriers also excel in offshore applications thanks to resistance to corrosion and UV radiation.

The STEEL-LINE from KABELSCHLEPP Metool includes a number of steel cable carriers in various sizes and configurations, with a comprehensive range of accessories available to match. Decades of product and application know-how have
produced a differentiated range of products tailored to the respective operating and environmental conditions, with corresponding design details. For example, KABELSCHLEPP designs the side bands with link plates in different geometries, including an open stroke system with a self-cleaning effect, in order to minimise wear caused by dirt and to achieve the longest possible service life. The lack of maintenance and lubrication also extends the service life, as all STEEL-LINE products do not require lubrication and are therefore maintenance-free.

The steel cable carriers can simply run for many decades – KABELSCHLEPP Metool knows of cases where a cable
carrier has been in use for over 50 years. However, the benefits of a steel cable carrier do not stop at the end of its service life. Up to 100% of steel cable carriers can be recycled at the end of their service life, conserving resources and protecting the environment. Using one ton of steel for recycling saves one ton of CO2 emissions and avoids mining 1.5 tonnes of iron ore. All's well that ends well – and one more reason to stay true to steel.

Pacesetter for digitalisation: cable carriers from KABELSCHLEPP Metool

Digitalisation changes the way we
live and work – from digital whiteboards in schools to networked product environments. However, for machines to communicate with each other and robots to take over tasks, they always need a lifeline for power supply and the exchange of data and signals. This is where the KABELSCHLEPP Metool cable carriers come into play: They protect and guide the indispensable cables – cable spaghetti and communication problems cannot occur in the first place. The focus here is always on customer benefit. The digital tools from KABELSCHLEPP Metool also ensure this: Whether OnlineEngineer or Quickfinder, the intuitive online tools facilitate orientation in the extensive product portfolio.
