Greater load capacity provided by Igus linear bearings
By changing the design of the glide pads from curved to flat on its new
DryLin R linear bearing for round shafts, igus has reduced the clearance
between liner and shaft by 50%. The contact area is increased to 80%,
thereby improving the overall load capacity. The life expectancy of the
bearing has also increased substantially. A new axial fastener, moreover,
has added stability to the bearing and secures it tighter within the
outside housing.
