Esd-Safe Energy Chains Now Quieter And Smoother In Operation

ESD-safe 'Energy Chains' now quieter and smoother in operation The System E6 range of cable carriers has been added to igus' range of ESD conductive Energy Chains. System E6 is claimed to be smoother running and quieter in operation, thanks to a short pitch and link design, which makes it suitable for vibration-sensitive applications such as printing machines, measuring equipment and precision cutting systems. A key benefit of System E6 is its permanent conductivity. A plastic flex tab, rather than the traditional pin and bore, connects the chain links - an arrangement that ensures a completely wear-resistant electrical and mechanical connection, for long term, constant conductivity. In common with the System E4 family of ESD Energy chains, E6 meets the requirements of SEMI E78-0998, the international materials and maintenance resource for critical environment applications, such as semiconductor and electronics production, and current ATEX regulations.
