Igus Demonstrates The Power Of Plastic In Bearing Surfaces

TIgus plans to show its expertise in plastic plain bearing developments and cable management products such as its Energy Chain series for connecting fast-moving machine elements plus associated Chainflex cable range. A highlight at this year's event is the DryLin WQ linear guide system featuring misalignment compensation. The geometry of this product improves the load distribution on the rail, reducing friction values by up to 15%. The DryLin WQ size 20 features a standard iglidur J200 polymer lining, which sees further substantial reductions in friction and wear. The latest Triflex R multi-axis flexible energy chain offers freedom of movement in all three dimensions and an identical bending radius in each direction. Thanks to its round-shaped design, Triflex R glides around the outer contour of a robot without becoming hooked in and jammed. It completely encloses the cables, protecting them from weld spatter and contaminants, while its smooth inner surface contours avoid premature insulation wear.
