Manufacturers and logistics companies can now document and save ultra-clear photos of every product manufactured, packaged and shipped, before despatch.

The system automatically saves Ultra HD photos before products leave the factory floor and saves images against part and lot numbers for precise recall and warranty protection. IVS-ARCHi is available with up to thirty cameras on a single system providing instant photos and 360º coverage of products of
any size.

Earl Yardley, Director at Industrial Vision Systems, said: “Imagine easily proving what every product you produce looked like at the point of final inspection – then having the proof instantly at your fingertips. With this system, our clients can react immediately to a complaint from their customer or consumers, enabling them to reduce quality escapes. They can quickly review time-stamped, serial tracked, ultra-clear photos of every item
sent out the door. It provides stringent brand and warranty protection from any unexpected contract claims. Our clients can instantly provide proof of the item quality before despatch.”

Recently, what was described as “the largest and most complex safety recall in U.S. automotive history” saw vehicles made by 19 different automakers recalled to replace frontal airbags on both the driver’s and passenger’s side. And in the first half
of 2020 alone, the European Commission issued 271 automotive-related product safety and recall notifications.  All manufacturing and logistics areas can benefit from the photo archiving system – from automotive, aerospace, defence consumer distribution and electronics, through to pharmaceutical and medical device producers.

The system comes with the vision controller and 22” HMI for easy set-up and real-time display of images captured and the number photographed over a shift. The
system allows easy tailoring to suit a customer’s production environment. Additionally, the client can also utilise the IVS integration services to provide a fully integrated solution.

All cameras are housed in robust industrial-grade housing to protect against the harshest of production environments. The system can interface to existing factory information systems through industrial ethernet output – allowing photos to be saved onto factory servers or cloud-based services in real-time.
