Clean, efficient and repeatable dispensing of adhesive thread lockers

Henkel is continuously upgrading its engineering adhesives to improve performance characteristics and extend their scope of use, but the company’s ongoing development programme isn’t solely focused on adhesive formulation.

Ensuring its products are applied in the most time and cost-effective way is also important and the new LOCTITE Pro Pump Dispenser for its thread locking adhesives is a good example of developments in this field.

The new LOCTITE Pro Pump Hand Held Dispenser provides clean and repeatable dispensing from any 50ml
or 250ml bottle of LOCTITE thread locker. It turns a bottle of adhesive into an effective dispensing system to prevent spills, mess and waste, making a single drop of adhesive instantly available for use.

Small, compact and lightweight, the dispenser requires no set up or assembly. It uses patented, progressive cavity pump
technology to deliver an average of 30mg of adhesive with a single pull of the trigger. A key feature is the multi-position nozzle that can be set in three orientations – horizontal, 45º up and 45º down; it can also be folded down to 90º for storing.

This new dispenser perfectly complements popular
thread lockers such as LOCTITE 243, that has recently been upgraded to provide higher performance on various metals even without an activator.  So, it’s equally effective on iron, copper, brass and steel as well as on passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminium and plated surfaces.

The thread locker’s temperature resistance has
been increased to 180°C, from 150°C and its heat ageing resistance has also been improved. Another important development, from a time-saving perspective, is the thread lockers’ greater resistance to oil. This means it is ideal suited to use in the industrial environment where it is often difficult to remove all grease and grime.
