AS-i module has local PLC capability
The AS-i SmartLogic module from IFM Electronic operates both as an AS-i
fieldbus slave with four inputs and four outputs, and as a programmable
controller, adding fast local intelligence to AS-i fieldbus
installations. The DIN rail mounting device has inputs for incremental
encoders, an analogue output and an RS232C interface for programming and
debugging. The programming system is IEC 61131-3 compliant, and embraces
a number of formats, including ladder logic, function block, instruction
list or structured text.
