fibre shafts - achieve a 90% weight saving compared with conventional
steel alternatives, with wear rates and friction characteristics staying
the same. In addition, the carbon fibre material resists corrosion and
chemical attack. Igus says that the life of DryLin bearings with carbon
fibre shafts can be precisely calculated, giving designers complete
