The portfolio includes the compact, easy-to-install, and versatile PNOZsigma safety relays and the PSEN opII4H light curtains for enhanced worker protection.

Kristian Olsson, Vice President of Industrial Automation and Control at RS, is keen to stress the importance of the new brand introduction: “At RS, we position workplace safety at the top of our list of priorities and aim to
offer our customers a full selection of the devices they need to operate industrial plants and machinery safely. The close partnerships we have with well-respected, specialist safety equipment manufacturers, like Pilz, mean that we can offer our customers a full range of workplace safety solutions to protect not only their people, but also all of their critical equipment. The result is
fewer accidents and a reduction in production downtime.”

Ideal for monitoring E-STOP, safety gates, and light barriers, PNOZsigma safety relays come in narrow housings, offering maximum functionality in minimum width. They are flexible and easy to install and maintain, helping machine builders and system integrators save critical time and space.

Key features include toolless push-in spring-loaded terminals, 20% less wiring, and
contact expansion via connectors enabling fast assembly and installation. Configuration is also simple; the designation and position of the terminals are the same on all unit types so that connections and devices can be assigned quickly for configuration, installation, and diagnostics.

A highly flexible device, PNOZsigma features selectable operating modes and timer functions to suit a variety of machine safety requirements.
Diagnostics can be performed in seconds thanks to six LED displays that make external measuring devices unnecessary.

Also, part of the range, the PSEN opII4H light curtains give machine operators added hand protection in line with the EN/IEC 61496-1/-2 standard. The new portfolio also includes PSEN transponder safety non-contact switches.

The complete Pilz machine safety range is now available from RS in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.
