Shaft And Track Roller Linear Guidance Systems

INA has published a 176-page design guide (catalogue number 801) for users of its extensive range of modular shaft and track roller linear guidance systems. For track rollers, users can select open or closed carriages, with solid or hollow saddle plates, while some 15 different types of guide-way are available. And there is a similarly wide range of bearings and shafts for shaft guidance system designers. Track roller guidance systems offer quiet running, high speed (up to 10m/s) and long travel. INA's range accommodates both straight and curved paths, while feedback devices can be incorporated for position control applications. The guide-ways are all manufactured from high-grade aluminium (with the exception of curved sections, which are steel only) with steel guide rods located within grooves For shaft guidance systems, depending upon application, three types of bearing are offered: compact, light and heavy. Unsupported and supported shafts are available in a broad range of diameters, and hollow shafts can also be specified for applications where low weight is a primary concern.
